Fardeen Rahman completed Bachelor in EEE from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur, Dhaka (2024). He is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) at EEE Dept, Brac University in Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin. His research interest includes Renewable Energy, Perovskite Solar Cells, Tandem Solar Cells, Advanced Solar Technologies and Optoelectronics. Currently he is performing research on intermediate band (IB) solar cell (perovskite and plasmonic based hybrid) solar cells.
Sabrina Islam graduated in Bachelor of Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BRAC University, 2024 (May). She is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) at EEE Dept, Brac University in Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin and Dr Belal. Her research interest includes, Nanophotonics, Automation, Robotics, ML, AI, and Renewable Energy. Currently she is doing research on Inverse design based photonic application.
Tasrin Nahar Nijhum, completed graduation in Bachelor of Science, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has completed Master of Science in Biotechnology, Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology, North South University. She is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) at EEE Dept, Brac University in Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin. Her research interest includes, Cancer Biology, Nanobiotechnology, Cell Biology, Antimicrobial Resistance, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Vaccine Development, CRISPR/Cas9, STEM Cell Research, and Gut-brain Relationship.
Munyem Ahammad Muyeed, graduated in Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering BRAC University, 2024. He is currently working as Research Assistant (RA) at EEE Dept, Brac University in Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin. His research interest includes, Power system - Renewable Energy - Sustainable Energy Robotics and automation. Currently he is doing research on netzero and digital twins.
Md. Faiyaz Abrar Fahim, completed Bachelor in EEE from Islamic University of Technology (2024). He is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) at EEE Dept, Brac University in Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin. His research interest includes Photonics, SPR-PCF Sensor, Machine Learning, and AI. Currently he is performing research on Optical Logic Gate for quantum computing and photonic devices.
Md Abu Huraiya, completed Bachelor in EEE from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) in 2024. He is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) at the EEE Dept, Brac University, in the Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under the supervision of Dr Abu S. M. Mohsin. His research interests include PCF-based SPR biosensors, surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors, photonic crystals, solar cells and machine learning applications in sensor technology. Currently he is performing research on perovskite solar cells integrating plasmonics and metasurfaces and Li-ion batteries.
Rifat Rahman completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from BRAC University in 2025. He is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) in the Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab of the Department of EEE, BRAC University, under the supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin. His research focuses on optical and plasmonic biosensing platforms, involving the design and simulation of graphene–metal hybrid structures, nanostructured and refractive-index-driven light–matter interactions for biosensing applications. He has extensive experience in electromagnetic modeling using Lumerical FDTD, investigating resonance behavior in prism-based, etched, grating, and metasurface-assisted biosensor architectures, and is currently working on metasurface-based optical biosensors for refractive index sensing applications.
Sartaj Aziz Turja, completed Bachelor in EEE from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) in 2025. He is currently working as a Research Assistant (RA) at EEE Dept, Brac University in Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab under the supervision of Dr Abu S. M. Mohsin.His research focuses on the design, simulation, and system-level evaluation of emerging nanoelectronic and photonic devices for next-generation computing. He works on novel field-effect transistors, reconfigurable and memory-enabled devices, and photonic integrated circuits, emphasizing co-integration and compatibility within advanced computing architectures.
He has designed and simulated reconfigurable and Schottky-barrier field-effect transistors with ambipolar transport and memory functionality using TCAD and COMSOL, optimizing key performance metrics such as on/off ratio, subthreshold swing, and short-channel effects. His broader interests include neuromorphic and in-memory computing, electronic–photonic integration, and energy-efficient, scalable computing systems.
Farzana Yeasmin completed her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from the University of Dhaka in 2025 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in EEE with a specialization in Nanofabrication. She is working as a Research Assistant at the Nano-Bio-AI Research Lab, Department of EEE, BRAC University, under the supervision of Dr. Abu S. M. Mohsin.
Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of advanced nanomaterials, particularly quantum dots and two-dimensional materials. She has practical experience in developing metal oxide nanoparticle-based biosensors, including material synthesis and sensor fabrication. Her broader interests include integrating quantum dots and 2D materials into energy storage, memory, and computing devices, and she aims to establish herself as a device fabrication expert in advanced nanotechnology research.
