The teaching and methodological office has a methodological council that brings together a creative group of highly qualified teachers on a voluntary basis.
Under the legal regime of martial law, the priority area of methodological work is the renovation of the educational sector - the modernization of the educational process and the educational environment.
At the meetings of the Methodological Council, regulatory materials (curricula, regulations, recommendations, instructions, etc.) and measures for educational, methodological, scientific and organizational work are reviewed and submitted for approval to the director of the college.
The Methodological Council promotes the introduction of innovative technologies and progressive forms of education in the educational process, takes measures aimed at improving the quality of training, provides assistance in the effective organization of educational, methodological, scientific and organizational work, and monitors the decisions and measures taken.
Relations are maintained with the Institute of Modernization of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Regional State Administration, interaction and cooperation with the State Institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky”, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, the Odesa Academy of Continuing Education of the Odesa Regional Council, the Board of Directors of the institutions of professional pre-higher education of Odesa region, the Board of Directors of Pedagogical Colleges of the South
On April 28, 2023, an innovative educational HUB was created to integrate the efforts of Balta's educational institutions and establishments, expand cooperation in the field of scientific and educational activities, update the content of education and bring generations together.
At the meetings of the methodological council, the scientific and methodological materials of teachers are reviewed and approved for their practical application and popularization. 20 teaching and methodological manuals of the college's pedagogical and scientific and pedagogical staff have the stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The Methodological Council hears reports from the heads of cycle commissions on the status of work plans, reports on the results of research work.
Effective organization of innovations in the college depends on the development of its potential, professional competence of the teaching staff to work in the conditions of search, creation of scientific, methodological, material and technical support for innovative changes. Experimental and research activities lead to the transition of the institution to a new level of development - innovative. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the college team participated in 6 local pilot projects and experiments of various levels:
- All-Ukrainian experiment on the topic “Educational and methodological support for teacher training in the context of educational reform in 2017-2023”;
- Regional pilot project “New generation of teachers for the New Ukrainian School” (coaches Bronzel L.A., Goncharuk V.G., Donchuk N.V., Melenyshyn N.B., Myagkokhod N.M., Nikitiuk N.F., Shchur V.A.);
- a pilot project on the development of methodological support for the training of primary school teachers to implement game and activity methods in the educational process together with The LEGO Foundation (trainers K.Y. Podufalova, V.A. Shchur);
- Swiss-Ukrainian project DOCCU, implemented in Ukraine by the Consortium consisting of the NGO “Development of Civic Competencies in Ukraine” and the Zurich University of Education (T. Kyforenko, A. Lekar, A. Shturba);
- Swiss-Ukrainian project DECIDE “Decentralization for the Development of Democratic Education” (T. Kyforenko);
- International project “Professional Training for the Implementation of Lego Education Programs” (S.O. Yakobchuk).
Master trainers, mentors, andragogues participate in methodological trainings, seminars, provide educational and expert support, and contribute to the effective conduct and organization of events within the framework of the above projects.
College teachers conduct and participate in regional organizational and methodological events of pedagogical colleges in the Southern region of Ukraine and the VET school in Odesa region.
The college under martial law is characterized by an intensive search for new approaches to education, innovative educational content, methods, technologies, forms of organizing the educational process, innovations in the organizational structure of the institution, in the means of teaching and upbringing, and in approaches to social services in education.
