We heard your feedback and have added story time to the online connect times. See the connect calendar times for dates, times and details. Watch your email and the activity description for the zoom link.
Connect times are an opportunity for children to "be" together and hopefully feel a sense of belonging within the Bowmont Community. They aren't always polished and we are glad to hear you are finding them worthwhile.
Please note that you do not have to stay online for the whole time if your child is getting restless or if you simply just want to check for a short while to make a connection then leave. There are no rules! We are just hoping to provide a space for us to be together.
~Shannon
As we prepare for our next show and share time together here are some tips for families to help your preschooler during Zoom Show and Share.
Talk with your preschooler about what they might like to share with their classmates - ask them ahead of time what they would like to tell their friends about their item - this will help when they need a little prompting to remember.
Talking on video with a group is a strange new experience, if your child would rather not share and watch instead that's great too!
If you child is apprehensive about being on camera they might prefer to listen and watch with the camera covered.
Mute your microphone when it's someone else's turn to talk - stay close by to assist your child to turn their mic back on when they have a question or would like to take their turn.
