Robotics in Action
Fifth graders worked in teams to build a Lego code cruiser, researched service vehicles, and then coded their cruiser to act out the robotic mission to show how robots can be assistive. Sixth graders focused their research and code on an interactive journey through the universe. All teams worked with the Lego Mindstorms EV3 coding software to complete such tasks.Â
The Computer Science focus is on the use of sensors, loops, and conditionals, as well as importance of iteration and debugging.
These pictures will give you a glimpse of what we experienced in the Innovation Lab and our classroom as we problem-solved coding and robotics. Collaboration was an important part of our success.
