Having a revision timetable is super important. It ensures that you keep motivated, have planned your revision and build in time for breaks and social events. The following websites and applications are excellent. They provide tips and resources on how to plan a good revision timetable.
When completing your revision timetable, it is important to remember the following:
Cover all your subjects - not just your favourite!
Build in down time - add in hobbies or clubs.
Make sure you don't spend too long on one subject - split up your time.
Using colour coding helps when creating the revision timetable.
It is fine to build in breaks and rest time.
Consider when you revise best - are you an early morning or evening person?
Try to identify specific topics you need to revise.
Keep some flex in the timetable.
Use 30 minute or 1 hour blocks of time per subject or topic.
Consider making a digital version. There are some great phone apps for revision timetables.
There is a blank timetable that you may find useful here. You can download this below using the red button. This is a word document so you can edit it. You may wish to block out times when you are busy and cannot complete any revision. You may want to create one for school term time and then for holiday time. They will look different and you will study at different times.
