Managing What Parents Can See in Google Classroom

By default, email summaries (to parents) for your classes are turned off. Learn how to turn on and manage guardian email summaries for your class. Guardians can’t access Classroom or view your class stream.
You can only add guardians for students using your Classroom through clever. For details, go to Setting up Parent Access.
When guardians join Classroom, they receive regular, automatic email summaries for each of their students. Guardians choose the frequency of the emails—daily or weekly—and can unsubscribe at any time.
Guardian email summaries include:1) Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent2) Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)3) Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers

Note: When Ms. Nguyen does this with a small group, she types each email in. This can be time consuming if you're making a larger group. If that's the case, you can go download from a spreadsheet or SIS (save the file as .csv). Then, click on the link "upload CSV" when on the google contacts page and it will upload the list for you.
