The Early Childhood website has been updated with at-home resources on the front page. You'll find some resources for families at the top, and below that grade-by-grade learning resources for you to share with your classroom communities. For now, the Fo1 and Fo2 links have the same week-by-week packets we have shared previously. More will be coming.
As you communicate with children and families, you may want to consider offering them ideas for creating routines, schedules, and learning-friendly environments. Include reminders for exercise, healthy snacks, and games along with reading together. (We are developing something like this for the website, too.
For the time being, all professional learning sessions are cancelled, of course. We will soon begin thinking about what might be most useful in the form of webinars or zoom meetings, depending on how things roll out. Perhaps you'd like to share ideas for connecting with children and families while they are at home; perhaps with some down time you'd like to explore a particular component or strategy in more depth; maybe we will get to think about Unit 4 together... Please let us know if there is something in particular you are hoping for in this realm. -Early Childhood
