Museum of Fine Arts

The MFA is offering 3 paid opportunitiesSTEAM Team, Teen Arts Council, and Curatorial Study Halland all programs will be offered digitally until we are able to welcome visitors back into our building. Hyde Square Task Force

We are currently taking applications for our summer paid opportunity in our Jóvenes en Acción program where rising 9th-11th graders train in an Afro-Latin art form (either Dance, Music, or Theatre), and have education and civic engagement workshops throughout the summer. Students can apply with this link. Our deadline to apply is June 5th, 2020.

Invest In Girls

Invest In Girls is offering numerous workshops over the summer, like Saving for your FUTURE: Have you ever thought about saving for that dream car, the newest iPhone, a vacation, or college expenses? BU Computer Science and AI Classes for Young Women

Codebreakers is a program for young women who are currently either freshmen or sophomores in high school and who are interested in learning about computer security. Undergraduate coordinators teach participants about basic cybersecurity concepts through lessons in programming, cryptography, and network security. Students will learn to code in Python and later gain experience with programming games, ciphering, and looking at system vulnerabilities. AI4ALL is a three-week summer program focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for young women who are currently sophomores or juniors in high school. Participants will explore topics in AI such as robotics, computer vision, and natural language processing through online lectures, team projects, and presentations from guest speakers. Artemis Online is a 4-week summer program for rising 9th grade girls focused on computer science. BU undergraduates majoring in Computer Science or Engineering lead the program. Participants learn computer languages such as Scratch, AppInventor, HTML, CSS, and Python. They also are introduced to robotics, cryptography, artificial intelligence, and circuits. Sociedad Latina Summer Program

Our programs are engaging and will have opportunities for virtual field trips, concerts, raffles & more! Youth in our high school programs will receive an end of summer completion bonus. You can apply by clicking this link.

Options include: Emprende! (for entrepreneurship and business skills), Escalera (English practice and preparing for college), and Academy of Latinos Achieving Success (college, social justice, and the arts).
