Clever

All BPS students have access to their "Clever Back Pack". This web based, digital back pack is a great resource for students all the time but especially when schools are closed. Below we have included how to access your child's Clever Digital Backpack. If you have any questions and/or need any technical support, email Mr. Foley at jfoley3@bostonpublicschools.org.

Accessing Clever Digital Backpack

  • Go to www.bostonpublicschools.org/backpack and click on “Log in as a student”

  • Older students log in using their BPS email and Password through “Log in with Google” while younger students with access to a webcam log in with “Clever Badge log in”

  • Homeroom teachers will share email/password and badge info with families in their room. Student passwords for their BPS email is their 8-digit birthday (MMDDYYYY).

  • Please note that we don’t have subscriptions to all the applications listed on the Clever homepage. You can learn more about the BPS Clever Backpack here. The BPS is already working with additional companies to secure more resources for your child during this time to ensure continuity of learning.

What apps or websites do you recommend I check out on Clever?

  • Sora by Overdrive (K-12): read e-books and audiobooks from the Boston Public Library and other Massachusetts libraries.

  • BPS Virtual Learning Commons (K-12): access BPS’s library resources across many subject areas.

  • Tumblebooks (K-5): read kid-friendly interactive picture books.

  • Adobe Spark (4-12): create videos, web pages, and images to share with your friends, family, and school.

  • Khan Academy (7-12): explore online courses on a wide variety of subjects.
