Search the Metro-Boston libraries' catalog. Order books here to pick up at CHS.
For interlibrary loans. Pick up at your local BPL branch.
How to Search and Reserve Materials:
Search: Enter the book title or material in the search box.
Select: Choose your desired item from the search results.
Check Availability: Click the "Availability" tab, then locate our school. Review the status to see if the item is available (in or out).
Retrieve or Request Assistance: If available, note the shelf location and call number. Retrieve it from the designated shelves, or ask the librarian for help.
Place a Hold: If the item is not available at our school, place a hold request, selecting "Charlestown High School" as the pickup location. The item will be delivered to our school.
Pickup Notification: You will be notified by text or email when the item is ready for pickup. Make sure your library account information is up to date for timely communication.
Track Your Request: Log into "My Account" to monitor the status of your request.

To borrow physical items and request interlibrary loans, a full-privilege library card is required. This card grants you comprehensive access to all resources within our school library, and the BPL.
To apply for a full-privilege card, please use the student library application link on the left.
Manage your library account:
Log in and view your library account! Here, you can easily manage all aspects of your library usage and stay on top of your borrowed materials. Once you log in, you'll have access to a range of features designed to enhance your library experience. Here’s what you can do:
View Current Checkouts: See a list of all the books and materials you have borrowed, including due dates and options to renew or return items.
Manage Holds & Requests: Track and manage any books you have on hold or requests you’ve made for new materials.
Check Fines & Fees: View any outstanding fines or fees and manage payments directly from your account.
Renew Items: Extend the due dates for your borrowed materials if eligible, and keep track of your renewal history.
