Good afternoon Adams Families! Happy Pride Month! We have had an awesome week this week with Superhero Day and our pizza party for our chocolate sales! We finished up MCAS testing and are now focused on end of year MAP testing!
We held our Pizza Party with Principal Cruz for our top chocolate sales winners! Over 40 students sold a box or more of chocolate! Thank you to all our families who participated in this fundraiser!
In the upcoming weeks, Adams students have the opportunity to learn more about the Boston Public Library. Librarian Caitlin will be creating library cards for all of our students and will be available to answer any questions our students have! Don't forget to utilize the East Boston Branch of the Boston Public Library this summer! They are located on Bremen Street and have LOTS of amazing activities and programs lined up for summer fun!
Do you have input on fundraising, events, and activities for the next school year? Stay tuned for a School Parent Council wrap-up survey going out next week! We would love to hear from you!
We wanted to communicate with families that we take safety at the Adams very seriously. All doors are required to be locked after arrival each morning. During the day, families should ring the office bell. We have video cameras to ensure we can see who is entering the school. If we do not recognize the students or parents we will ask for identification. All classrooms have exterior locks. We understand that what we are seeing on the news is terribly disturbing. We will do our best to ensure that the building is safe. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Our last day of school is Monday, June 27th. Friday, June 24th and Monday, June 27th both of these days are early dismissal days at 11:40. Also, just a reminder there is NO school on Monday, June 20th as we celebrate Juneteenth.
In collaboration with the Departments of Science, Math, Technology, Art, Excellent For All(EFA), and the Parent Engagement team. This is a family-friendly event to celebrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). The event is open to the BPS community and will feature robotics competitions, student exhibits, and community partners.
