Mrs. Bores
Hi! My name is Mrs. Bores and I am going to be your 2nd grade teacher this year! This will be my 2nd year teaching and my 6th year at W.T. Lewis Elementary School!! I was a paraprofessional l for 5 years. During that time, I worked with Kindergarten through 5th Grade. I love teaching! It brings me joy to support young minds as they explore, problem-solve, and learn! I believe that all students have the ability to learn and grow, and it is my job to support their success.
I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries in 1999. Go Vols! I have been married to my amazing husband for 22 years. I am a mom of three amazing children, Kenneth (20), Joseph (17), and Isabella (14) so I understand that a school is a child's " home away from home ."
I have lived in the Shreveport Bossier area most of my life! I love it here in Louisiana. As much as I love teaching, I need my "me" time too! I love to read and enjoy being outside whenever possible! I enjoy Scouting, gardening, and sailing in my free time.
A note for parents: We are a team! I want to make sure that we are always working together to make the best decisions for your child. I know that to make this year successful, we need to collaborate! I am always available to you. I will send home notes, emails, and make phone calls to keep you informed about your child's school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason!
