Dear Boonton Bomber Families,

Thank you to all of our families that were able to join this week's Back to School Night events.  Thank you also to all of our staff members who hosted the events and shared important information about our courses and classroom spaces.

As a result of everyone's collective efforts, we have had a successful start to the school year, and we look forward to a very promising year of growth and achievement.  Enriching the lives of students and empowering them to be impactful citizens remain our guiding objectives, and it is a great privilege to partner with such supportive families and community members toward achieving them.

Earlier today, I attended a county-level meeting of educators in which significant areas of focus for the New Jersey Department of Education were emphasized.  A leading area of focus is chronic absenteeism, and as I shared in last week's bulletin, this will be a particular area of focus at Boonton Schools.  As a general benchmark, a student who is absent an average of two days per month will be chronically absent for the school year.  Every day counts, and we appreciate all of your support in making sure that students are present and benefitting fully from their daily learning opportunities.

Thank you, and Go Bombers!
