Middle school art students completed drawings after practicing how to create value changes using colored pencils. Value is an element of art that deals with the lights and darks of a color. Students learned the term "monochromatic" (containing or using only one color) and focused on incorporating as many value changes as possible. Classes also explored incorporating contrast (a Principle of Design) in their artworks.

The NJDOE has prioritized a measure of Chronic Absenteeism that our schools are accountable to. Chronic absenteeism occurs when a student misses 10 percent or more of the school days in session for which that student was enrolled. If a student is enrolled for the full school year, acquiring 18 or more absences equates to being chronically absent. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
