Dear BHS Community:
I wanted to give everyone an update on Boonton High School's plan should we be directed to close for an extended period of time. Academic instruction will continue and be delivered through various online approaches. Many, if not all, BHS teachers use Google Classroom on a daily basis and will use this avenue to send and receive assignments.
If/When we receive notification to close school, further information will be sent. It is imperative that parents and students continuously check email as critical information will be shared. Boonton High School has created an online learning portal containing information on daily attendance, the daily class rotation, and school counseling. This Remote Learning Portal will be crucial in delivering information to students and parents. We are putting the final touches on the portal (which will look similar to our Weekly Updates) and will distribute when necessary.
If you have any questions or concerns, you know my door is always open and I am a phone call (or email) away. I remember back to the fire that displaced us for some time and the "BOONTON STRONG" saying on many t-shirts; Boonton is a strong community, and we will stay strong through this as well.
Sincerely,
Jason Klebez
Boonton High School AVID students attended a tour of Rutgers University on Tuesday, March 3rd. The students toured Rutgers New Brunswick with a lively tour guide visiting all five campuses. Students took a behind the scenes tour of the Rutgers Athletic Performance Center, visiting training spaces of the gymnastics, basketball and wrestling teams. The students were given a tour of the Rutgers Athletic Center prior to the game, where we were able to meet one of the men's basketball team senior players and check out the court prior to the exciting win against Maryland!
