Welcome to our ACTIVITIES Website!

Boonton High School offers students the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and activities throughout the school year. The SRA (Student Regalia Association) is committed to support and assist with driving participation in all school events and activities. Below is a snapshot of the events students participated in and upcoming events!

CLASS OF 2021

The Class of 2021 will be hosting an Easter Egg Dash for Juniors & Seniors on March 25th during lunch on the TURF! Prizes include (but not limited to) chic-fil-a gift cards, prom corsage/boutonniere, prom weekend basket, half priced prom bids, dunkin gift cards, ONE FREE PROM BID and much more! See Mrs. London or class officers for tickets and questions. Tickets are $10.

Juniors & Seniors will dance the night away at the MeadowWood Manor on May 28, 2020! More details will follow, hope to see many of you there.

CLASS OF 2023

The Class of 2023 will have a fundraiser on April 1st from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. Come support our class! Playabowls.com

DRAMA CLUB

The Drama Club will be presenting the play "Mama Mia" this weekend, March 6, 7 & 8! They look forward to many of you attending the production. Tickets can be purchased in advance by emailing edward.haddad@boontonschools.org.

KEY CLUB

Our next Snack and Show was held Thursday for senior citizens and girl scouts. It was another fun event for students and guests. The members of the Key Club are looking for upcoming volunteer opportunities in the community. If you have a need for student volunteers please reach out to Ms. Bialick with the information.

GIRLS WHO CODE

Girls Who Code have been working on all kinds of independent projects, using Scratch, Java, Python and HTML. Club members come in with all ranges of abilities, from beginning coder to expert programmer. We just made a new website to start showcasing our member projects. https://boontongwc.weebly.com . GWC meets the first Tuesday of the month after school, and the third Tuesday of the month during lunch.

BOONTON MAKERSPACE

Boonton Makerspace meets every other Tuesday after school in room 128. Come make the project of your dreams!

FBLA

Thanks to all the team members who participated in the Consumer Bowl! Looking forward to the next round.

Seven students advance to the state level of the FBLA business competition. Congratulations to Aimen Seddiki, Kate Crooker, Kelly Doyle, Jaylene Combs, Zach Schneider, Nick Olejniczak and Harrison Gresack. Students will be advancing to the state leadership convention in Atlantic City on March 19th. Congratulations to Sean Tucker who has now advanced to the state level!

GSA

GSA Red and Black Teams are excited to begin practice for their shows next week. Schedule is posted on bulletin board in Jock Hall.

PLC

PLC members participated in Read Across America on Monday, March 3rd. They went to School Street School and read Dr. Seus books to our grade school children in kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders. It was an AWESOME experience for all students.

SPANISH CLUB

Spanish Club hosted the 7th Annual "La Copa" tournament on Wednesday after school. 87 students competed for the title, the most registered in BHS La Copa history...WOW! Congratulations to Team Pterodactyls who took 1st Place! The event was coordinated by Sra. Reich, Advisor. Mr. Barreto designed the schedule while Mr. Hurd, Mr. Nash, Mr. Nosal and Mr. Goodale assisted in running the matches. Thank you to all the other teachers and students who participated in making this event successful and enjoyed by all!

TAG

First Annual TAG Cornhole Tournament was a huge success, looking forward to continuing this tradition each year. Next TAG event is March 20th - Rizzo's Reptiles! March 6th - no meeting, hope to see you all at the school play!

Autism Awareness day is April 2, 2020!

The School Store is now OPEN! The Pathways to Independence students are selling cupcakes, birthday decorations, supplies, and other goodies at the school store every morning during first block and every day during lunch. Please stop by the library to purchase some items from the school store. Check out our ONLINE WEBSITE!

We are still in need of writers, especially those interested in covering sports, as well as artists, photographers and layout and design personnel.
