Intermediate Camp Week 1

Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr, June 15-18

(note end date of 18th due to Juneteenth)

Cost: $175

Time: 9 am - 4 pm M - W, 12 - 6 on Thursday

2 performances on Thursday at 3 and 4:30

From the MTI Website: The Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop culture phenomenon is now the basis for one of the most fun musicals ever to hit the stage, Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR. This energetic musical, follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life.

Seussical Kids, June 22-26

Cost: $175

Time 9 am - 4 pm M-Th, 12 - 6 on Friday

2 performances on Friday at 3 and 4:30 pm

From the MTI Website: Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold — not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Learn while having fun at Intermediate Camp!

Looking for a fun, creative, and immersive summer experience for your child? Enroll them in one or both of our Intermediate Camps, specially designed for 2nd to 5th graders, where they'll bring to life the magical world of either Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr or Seussical Kids!

🌟 Camp Highlights:

🎶 Every Student Gets a Role: No auditions needed—everyone participates!
🎤 End-of-Camp Performance: Campers will showcase their talents in a full performance for family and friends at the end of the camp week.
🕘 All-Day Fun: Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a full day of theater, music, and excitement.

Whether your child is a seasoned performer or a curious beginner, this camp is the perfect place for them to build confidence, make friends, and have fun!

Students will be asked to learn some songs before auditions. Those will be provided when you pick up the camp materials.

Students will need to bring a bagged lunch to both camps. There is no refrigerator or microwave available.

This level of camp is designed for 2nd - 5th graders. This camp will focus on acting only. Any school student entering 2nd - 5th grade for the upcoming school year is eligible to attend. All camp roles are open to anyone attending the camp.
