Cooper High School Summer Drama Camps
STUDENTS ENTERING 7TH - 9TH GRADES - EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Advanced Camp: This camp level is a 2- week summer intensive course in which 7 - 9th-grade students will get an in-depth study on characters, improvisation, tech, costumes, props, etc. Actors will learn more about how to create meaningful characters, how to analyze a script, how the plot drives a character, character intent, and much more. These campers get both onstage and backstage experience and must be willing to be an all-around performer. The camp culminates in 2 performances at the end of the camp with a junior production with costumes, props and etc.

STUDENTS ENTERING 1ST - 3RD GRADES - NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
FUNdamentals Camp: This camp level is designed for students in 1st - 3rd grade. There are 2 sessions for this camp: a morning session from 9-12 and an afternoon session from 1 - 4 pm. Both sessions teach students how to work as a team and have fun! There will be singing, movement, and crafts. The camp culminates in a showcase production at the end of the week. There is also the option of the COMBO Camp, which is an all-day option. While the morning and afternoon camps sound similar, they cover different songs.
STUDENTS ENTERING 4TH - 6TH GRADES - NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Intermediate Camp: This camp level is designed for students in 4th -6th grades. It is a one-week camp in which participants perform a show twice at the end of the week with camp shirts and minimal props and costumes.

Money for camp goes to support the Cooper High School drama program. Since this is a fundraiser, All camp costs are Non-Refundable.

Where we are:
We are located in Union, KY in Boone County, and base ourselves out of Randall K Cooper High School. All camps take place there.
Never tried theatre? No problem! Only those interested in the Advanced Camp are required to have any previous experience!
