GPA Calculations
Here is an example. If a student earns an A (3.8) in Global Village, an A is calculated as a 3.8. If a student earns an A in Honors Global Village, this will be calculated as a 4 toward their grade point average because .2 + 3.8 = 4.0. The letter grade on the transcript will not change. These calculations are behind the scenes.
If a student earns an A+ (4.0) in AP Government, their grade will be calculated as a 4.4 because 4.0 + .4 = 4.4.
Graduation Recognition
The Latin Honors System, which is commonly used by colleges and universities, sets a bar for achievement that all students have an opportunity to reach, rather than drawing an arbitrary line at a certain place in class rank.
The class will wear cords at graduation and be recognized for achieving Latin Honors Status. The school will plan a ceremony honoring all students who achieve magna cum laude or summa cum laude status.
Bonny Eagle High School

The Bonny Eagle High School Differentiated Diploma Program is designed to be an alternative diploma option for students who have faced a life-altering hardship that has resulted in having a detrimental impact on their opportunity to graduate. This program is a highly structured program for a select group of students whose circumstances will prevent them from graduating from high school with their cohort graduation class. If you believe you may qualify for this program please contact your school counselor.
