Welcome to the 21st Century! Tech time, where we have ditched cassette tapes, VCR's and floppy disks. Technology has come a long way since I was in school. When I was in school we were learning to create Word Documents and PowerPoint presentations. That time has past. Enter Google; Google Docs, Google Sites, Google Forms, etc. To prepare my students for the future and the age of technology, we are incorporating technology throughout our day. Whether it's creating a QR code, logging on an iPad to join in on a Quizzizz or learning to code, you better believe that Room 9 is doing it.
In order to survive in this tech driven world, you need to be up to date with technology. I want my students to pursue careers. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder are visual thinkers, they learn by seeing and doing. In order to engage my students in S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), we in Room 9 are exposing them to new tools such as Padlet, Kahoot, Google Classroom, Ozobots, tools that will not only engage them in learning but teach them how to persevere. I want my students to know that with good work ethic, passion and an education, they can do anything.
Join us as we tech talk and explore the world of technology.
