How we do it?
METHODOLOGY
Movements have a few distinguishing factors in how they work:
“We are a movement, not a programme or a service”
“We nurture leaders and advocates, not beneficiaries or clients.”
“We grow collective ownership of an issue, not provide a solution”
Movements start with the why, engage people in shared leadership and effectively mobilise the community towards awareness, adoption and advocacy for the change that they want to see. People are activated to come together to act on behalf of something they care about, rather than something we want them to do. Rather than becoming passive recipients of the programme or service, they are co-creators who help to grow the movement.
As a platform exploring how movements work and how to empower movements, we are exploring the application of the Bold Methodology and the relevant skillsets, to movements.
