Riley Eskelin

Riley Eskelin is a Senior at Capital High School and mystery novel fan. He has much experience when it comes to creative expression because of the many years he has been in choir. This year he is a part of two Capital choirs, those choirs being Volare and Capital Singers. He’s always loved reading and telling stories, so he thought it was high time he started creating them. He is currently exploring two story ideas of his and wishes to have a book published and read by everyone in the country someday.

Bee Cerrato

Bee Cerrato is a senior at Capital High School. Ever since they were in elementary, they couldn’t quite quiet down about characters they would imagine, draw, and write about at any given moment. Even now, they will drop everything to give a whiteboard presentation about their characters on the fly. Bee loves exploring life and its perspectives through these characters and telling their stories through both art and writing. In the future, they plan on pursuing a major in creative writing and creating comics.

Bel Bounds

Bel Bounds is a senior at Boise High School and, thanks to an unhealthy amount of long-running bedtime stories, cannot write a short story to save her life. Her interest in storytelling shows in both the time she’s spent creating lore for dozens of her stories—often using a ridiculous amount of sticky notes to keep it all in line—and the care she takes to make sure she’s writing stories she would have loved reading growing up; ones with dragons, complex character arcs with redemptions, and, most importantly, strong female leads. Over the years, she’s established herself among friends as a go-to editor, and when not receiving feedback on her own stories she is critiquing theirs. If left to her own devices, Bel can be found either drawing scenes for a future graphic novel or giving it her all while singing a rock song and generally bouncing off the walls. Above all else, Bel wants to spend the rest of her life being a creator and bringing other people the happiness and comfort she has found in books and music.

Estrella Deanda

Estrella Deanda is a senior at Boise High School. She has been consuming books ever since she learned how to read, and has yet to run out. She can often be found studying languages, researching obscure facts, meticulously worldbuilding, or sometimes all three at once. As a queer Mexican immigrant, she is committed to cultivating an environment where people of all kinds feel not only safe but accepted. Though relatively new to writing, she has no lack of ideas and much to write about. An avid fan of fiction, both fantastical and down-to-earth, she is excited to further her creative endeavors and experience other people's as well.

Emalee Beery

Emmalee Beery is a senior at Borah High School. She loves to read and the majority of her current book count, 175, is fantasy with a few murder mysteries mixed in. She’s loved to read since she was a child, The Princess Bride being one of her favorite books. Emmalee can often be found reading, writing, singing, or doing other forms of art. She’s currently editing and rewriting her trilogy, Scales, Scales: Buried Past, and Scales: Last Stand. She’s enjoyed every moment of crafting the world of Middleore and all of the characters and creatures that are a part of it. She hopes to someday soon have her trilogy published and bring readers joy and entertainment through them.
