Inside the Harmony Haven

Welcome to 8th period piano, where sweet and melodic notes fill the air. Here is all the information you need, if you want to start or join Piano next semester/year, and be prepared to mentally embrace the notes and the delightful piano journey!
Piano is an elective taught by Ms. Horner, who is also the Choir teacher. She teaches this class during 8th period. The students of piano start class by practicing rhythms as a group on some days, for fun a Blooket, or just directly start off strong with practicing their music. These students have been working hard in Piano since the beginning of the school year, practicing their melodic pieces.
Piano does not have concerts like how Band/Orchestra/Choir does, instead, Ms. Horner records them playing songs they have learned, makes it into a video, and sends it to each of the student’s parents, or have them compose their own music. One student, Savannah Lopez, 9th grade pianist has been doing Piano since she was in 7th grade (that is quite impressive). Abigail Cottle, 7th grade pianist, says that she loves how they play really fun songs in Piano. Dante Rust, also a 7th grade pianist, said he started playing the piano when he was 11 years old, and that's why he decided to join Piano at Les Bois. It seems like the piano students really like this elective!
Ms. Horner, in the last 15 minutes of class, lets the students have free time on Fridays or on days where students worked really hard on practicing their music.
Piano is a very interesting elective to choose from, if you have been intrigued by this instrument and want to learn how to play it. Ms. Horner is a very awesome piano teacher fyi! :)
