Save this in your 3MAT folder. Please remember that this work is being assessed by a outside provider, so you need to ensure that you answer both booklets (handwritten one as well as the google doc). You will also do a FINAL assessment in week 9 of this term.

Make a poster on the computer. Type up your financial DREAM for your life. Add a picture to this ( if you are doing this on the computer please add this to DAY ONE of your google doc)

Day 2:

open your google doc (you should have saved this in your 3MAT folder)
go to DAY 2 and answer the 6 questions on SMART goals.

b) new I-phone

c) new Mercedes A class sedan

LI: define short term goal, medium term goal, long term goal

Open your google doc (3 Mat folder) and answer the question of Day 3.
then open your workbook (hard copy) go to page 9 and fill in the 3 different parts.

Now answer the question: What is opportunity cost ? (in budgeting)
First person answering the question wins the chocolate.

LI: What is a budget / what is budgeting?

1. You have 30 min. Work in a group with one more person (or if you prefer on your own): You need to make a slide show on BUDGET

a) definition

b) Why is it important to budget?

c) HOW?

d) The 7 steps of a budget.

e) add anything interesting to budgeting here (for example a song/ extra tips)

To do now: Listen to this video, and write a paragraph about budgeting.

1. Open the online booklet and do day 5

Day 6a

Open the google slideshow for year 11 budget.

Choose a number (ask Whaea Mina). Go to your number on the slideshow (slide numbers) and make a presentation of your slides.

Day 6:

Research: What is the difference between a surplus and a deficit in a budget.
Now make a poster (either online or using the magazines) on how to save yourself from a budget deficit.

Class work: Open your online booklet and answer the day 6 question 1 - 9 THEN answer the questions on page 12 and page 13 of your booklet.

Day 7:

Open your online booklet: answer day 7 ALL the questions. Make sure you have a calculator to do the calculations.

Open your online booklet on day 8. Research question 1 and 2. Then finish all the answers for the rest of the questions.

Day 11:

starter: Google/Find the name of 5 companies where you can get insurance from.

Open day 11 of your online book and complete all the research and questions for day 11.

Day 12:

Starter: Google/Find 5 types of insurance products.

LI: 5 types of insurance products/policies

Do day 12 of your online workbook.

Day 13:

Starter: Think of one long term financial goal that you want to achieve. Find out the price for this as well as the time period you think you will need to achieve this. Go write this up on the white board.

LI: Connecting the dots of your financial goals - EIGHT steps

Open your day 13 of your online workbook and do everything on day 13.

Day 14:

starter: Sit together as a group and as a group come up with 5 situations which could have an influence on you achieving your financial goals. Write this up on a piece of white paper. Take a photo of it, and then paste it on your online workbook under day 14.
