Programming isn't about what you know; it's about what you can figure out." - Chris Pine
Micro:bits are a small microprocessor developed by Microsoft and the BBC. Students are able to code and program the microprocessors for a variety of tasks using Microsoft Makecode for Microbits. The Girls intercepted three challenges with the Micro:bits and delivered with clever results.
Challenge 1: Make a scrolling name badge using Makecode and a Micro:bits.
Challenge 2: Reprogram the name badge to also tell a little bit about you.
Challenge 3: Create an animation (sound optional) to add to the name badge.
Mila and Delany work out the block code that makes the Micro:bit display a name.
Melodee and Audrey program their information to be animated on the microprocessor.
Khloe, Stella and Kenna work on animation and sound for their namebadges.
