Water and Science

2nd project meeting - Portugal

The theme of the Portuguese meeting is Water and Science.

In the laboratories of our Portuguese partner school, we had the opportunity to watch and participate in two interactive experiments: one on salt extraction from salt tanks and the other on water and science. By Centro de Ciência Viva: https://www.cienciaviva.pt/en/.

In these spectacular demonstrations we learned about the known properties of water.

We visited the Tavira Water Treatment Plant, which supplies high quality water to over 400,000 people in the Algarve region. We learned about the water's journey from reservoir to tap and saw some laboratory activities.

On the Portuguese Children's Day, we went on a full-day excursion to the Algarve Zoomarine theme park. Many of the spectacular and fun elements of the park use water.

We saw the harvesting of salt in the salt works near Castro Marim.

The Hungarian students made an automatic watering model and activities on water conservation.

The students made an international Kahoot quiz about water for the participants of the meeting.

Turkish students gave a presentation on jobs before the mobility. They even made a short film about it (QR code for the link).

Italian students from their school made a "Little Drop" as a gift for Erasmus teachers during a workshop.
