Why I Joined PTO: I joined the PTO because I wanted to be part of the community where my kids spend so much of their time—to get to know their teachers and principals, build connections, and help create a little of the magic and joy that makes La Center Elementary such a special place.

Fun Fact: I have 54 chickens, 12 ducks, and 1 goose named Templeton. 

Title: Vice President

Kids/Grades: Mom to a pre-schooler, kindergartener & 2nd grader

Favorite School Event: all of the back-to-school and end of year events.

Committee Lead of: Welcome Committee & 5th Grade Graduation & Veterans Committee

Why I Joined PTO: I joined PTO because I wanted to be more involved in my kids’ school and help make it a place they’re excited to be. I love creating special memories for our students, supporting our teachers, and helping build a strong school community for all of our families.

Fun Fact: I thrive in organized chaos—kids’ schedules, coaching, PTO, and running a candle business. Just don’t ask how long the clean laundry has been sitting in the basket. 

Title: Secretary 

Kids/Grades: Mom to a 1st grader, 5th grader, and 9th grader

Favorite School Event: I really love the family events. The OMSI reptile event we did last year was one of the best.

Why I Joined PTO: I joined PTO because I wanted to be a little more involved and give back to the school community. Plus, I love being around the kids, getting to know other parents, and helping make school a fun and special place. I figured if I’m going to be part of the chaos anyway, I might as well jump in and help! 

Fun Fact: I’m a paraeducator in Resource at LCES and love my job!

Title: Treasurer

Kids/Grades: Mom to a 2nd grader and a preschooler

Favorite School Event: Book Fair!

Why I Joined PTO: I’ve always had a passion for community service, and my previous experience as an educator has shown me just how much a connected, supportive school community matters to teachers, students and families- joining PTO felt like the perfect way to jump in and be an active part of our school community! 

Fun Fact: Our family is on a mission to visit every Disney park around the world!

Title: Communications/Marketing

Kids/Grades: Mom to a 2nd grader & PreK kiddo

Favorite School Event: We love the book fair!!

Why I Joined PTO: We have loved being a part of the LC community and felt so connected with our school events. I want new families to have the same experience so I'm excited to be a part of the PTO and help plan some of these special events that connect our kiddos, families, and the community. 

Fun Fact: We are a coffee obsessed family. We own a coffee roasting business on the side and even our kids get in on the fun!

Title: Co-Treasurer

Kids/Grades: Mom to a 2nd grader, Pre Kindergartener, and 1 year old

Favorite School Event: 100% Field Day!!

Why I Joined PTO: As a full-time working mom who volunteered whenever I could, I knew I wanted to find a way to do more and add value to my community. I LOVE being involved with my kids’ school and activities, and love our little town of La Center. I’m so excited to be a part of the PTO and help create some fun memories for our kids and families!

Fun Fact:  I love to play pickleball!
