Hera and Aphrodite had it all planned out. They were tired of Zeus’s lies and cheating. So, they planned to confront Zeus together.
Hera told Zeus to meet her for dinner at Cafe 401, their favorite restaurant. He expected it to be just the two of them at dinner, and he had no clue Hera made the reservation for three people.
As he walked into the restaurant, he saw his two women chatting at the dinner table together. He didn’t think this would ever happen, and he knew this was not just a coincidence that his wife and his girlfriend were both there. He was nervous, but he approached the table with what appeared to be complete confidence. He thought to himself, “They already know, so I may as well just own it.” So, he tried to greet both women with a kiss, and each turned her face away repulsed when he did this and sat down to join them as though everything were normal.
Zeus sat down and ordered himself a Scotch on the rocks. Then he turned to the women and in a sarcastic tone said, “So, how do you two ladies know each other?"
Hera snapped at him and said, “Did you really think that we would never find out about the other one? I am sick of your manipulative love games. You’re controlling and self-centered. I have sacrificed so much to keep you happy, and I always feel underappreciated. I hate that I have become an untrusting, jealous person and lost who I am. I want you to know that I will warn every woman about you. Good luck with everything.” Aphrodite was silent but nodded in agreement as Hera spoke. Then, the two women got up from the table and left.
Zeus was there all alone. He remained sitting there unsure of what to think or do. Also, he did not know what to make of Hera’s comment when she said, “... I will warn every woman about you.” He felt a little threatened but tried not to worry. As he picked up his Scotch and took a drink, he thought to himself, “What could she really do to me?”
