KEY INFORMATION FOR TAC PATIENTS
GENERAL INFORMATION
The following process applies for TAC patients at Bluff Road and North Road Physiotherapy:
The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) can provide individuals injured as a result of a road accident financial cover for physiotherapy treatment.
When injured in a road accident, patients can immediately seek treatment at Bluff Road and North Road Physiotherapy. The TAC does not require a medical excess to be reached, and will help pay for the treatments and services within the first 90 days of a patient's transport accident injuries without prior approval.
Please note: It is the patient's responsibility to report the transport accident to the police before they lodge a claim with the TAC and complete paperwork. Once received and approved, the TAC will issue them with a claim number.Bluff Road & North Road Physiotherapy must receive confirmation of the patient's claim number in writing before the TAC will be billed directly after the initial 90 day period post accident.
PRICING AND PAYMENT
Once your claim is approved and the claim number is received, BRP & NRP charge a co-payment of $30 per consultation.
This co-payment is the responsibility of the patient.
In special circumstances, the TAC can approve 'Hardship' relief to the paitent. In such circumstances, the TAC will agree to pay the co-payment on your behalf. We encourage you to seek advice and approval directly with the TAC if you wish to apply.
Feel free to speak directly with one of our administration team if you would like more clarification of this process.
