The Arts and Wellbeing are inextricably linked; be it looking at a piece of Artwork, watching a Play or Dance on Stage or listening to an amazing piece of music, they provoke an emotion and contentment that few other activities can match. Here are some things for you to try.
A flying session from the top of the stairs or track the distance of each plane across the mountain ranges of the sofa and kitchen table - make them with your family and challenge them to an in-house flight they will never forget. I used paper but you can use card to make them more durable...decorate them to make sure the identify of the plane is clear to all competitors and then reach for the sky!
Sing in the safety of your own home and feel the benefits of releasing your inner diva.

A tribute by the people of Nottingham
The best flash mob our city has ever seen…try to reproduce some of the moves at home.
Look through the family photo album with your family.
Each member should choose up to five photographs that are important to them.
Now add a caption to the photographs.
Some of the things you might want to consider when writing your caption:
Who or what is in the photograph?
Where was the photograph taken?
Why is the photograph special to you?
Who took the photograph?
Where several members of the family are taking part, you can generate a conversation about each other’s choice of photographs. This process can be recorded or videoed etc.
Finally take a photograph of yourself or as a group and add to the pile.
When you’ve finished, place the photographs or copies and any other material generated in an envelope.
To be opened in ten years’ time.
