Eight books "face-off" and students are encouraged to read the books that interest them and vote for the book they think should move on in the bracket. There are two brackets: Middle Grade for 4th-6th and Young Adult for 7-8.

Students can vote at any time. The Book Challenge goes all the way through March to give plenty of time to read the books. These books are available in our library, at BHTPL, and as ebooks on Sora. The BHTPL librarians have a special room for these books and are happy to help you find them.

Many students have been using the ebook collection on Sora. Adding your library card increases book access and all of the Book of the Year books are available.
