Celebrating Birthdays at School
Share Day
Birthdays are celebrated in a very special way in our Preschool class! Parents are encouraged to help their child collect a special item or create a project with items that are important to him or her as a “share and tell” activity for their birthday celebration at school! Allow your child to tell YOU how he or she would like to celebrate!
IDEAS:
Favorite toy/game/activity to be incorporated into Centers
Favorite book
Craft to make with the class
Pictures of family, vacations, interests, etc. glued on construction paper/poster to display in the classroom
Photo album, scrapbook, etc.
Or anything else your child would like to share
School policy does not permit parents to host a birthday party celebration. This is why we do a “Share Day” in our class. If you absolutely prefer to send a snack, please choose from the following safe snacks. All snacks must be STORE-BOUGHT. No drink or paper supplies needed! You may be asked to send a picture of the ingredients list prior to the birthday, to make sure it is safe for a specific child in our class.
We will never have more than 12 students in our class. Please send enough for all children to participate.
Options for birthday snacks:
Mini muffin packs
Apple sauce (cup or pouch)
Individual Pretzel/chip snack bag
Two-bite mini cupcakes (package of 12)
SUMMER birthdays can be celebrated at any time during the year. Just let me know the day your child would like to celebrate! Perhaps their "Half-birthday" or right before summer break!
It’s your child’s special day and we would like to make it as memorable as possible!
Thank you!
