#BringingBengalsBack
New Daily Procedures:
In efforts to ensure that all individuals entering the Bloomfield School Buildings, we have introduced new daily procedures. Please see all of the components of what the start of the school day will look like for the Bengals.
All students in grades PreK-8 coming into the Bloomfield Schools will be asked to complete a Daily COVID Pre-Screening Form. Staff and community members entering the building will also fill out a COVID form. This information is recorded internally.
While we encourage all Bengals who are not feeling well to remain home for the day, we will be conducting temperature screenings on-site. All individuals registering a fever of 100 or above (according to District Policy 8451) will be sent home and asked not to return until they are 24 hours fever-free.
Every building has been equipped with walk-through temperature scanners, which can monitor a crowd up to 70. The buildings have also been equipped with handheld temporal scanners
You can see our model demonstrating how easy it is to interact with the walk-through scanners!
Students are required to wear face coverings unless doing so would inhibit the student’s health. It is necessary to acknowledge that enforcing the use of face coverings may be impractical for young children or individuals with disabilities. Therefore if a student with an IEP/504 or a documented medical condition or disability as reflected in an Individualized Education Program (IEP)/504 plan, precludes the use of face-covering they will be omitted from this requirement.
