American Legion Student Trooper Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Program Would you like to learn about what a career in law enforcement is like before you decide? The American Legion, Department of Michigan, in partnership with the Michigan State Police Training Academy in Lansing, provides an opportunity for current (2025-26) high school students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades to learn about a career in law enforcement.
Students spend one week at the Michigan State Police Training site learning many aspects of a law enforcement career.
Application deadline is May 1, 2026. Interested students can reach out to the counseling office to learn more, get application help and receive assistance locating financial sponsorship.
OsteoCHAMPS a program to foster health care interest to Michigan high school students and to help them achieve their career goals by providing: academic preparation and competitiveness for higher education, lifelong learning and problem-solving skills, development of individual responsibility, appreciation for diversity, and teamwork, tools needed to set worthy goals toward attaining health care careers. This program is open to current 10th and 11th grade students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
