A bit about me...

Mr. Whitman has been teaching music at BBMS since 2002 when the Middle School first opened!  He currently directs the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands, the Select Band, Jazz Ensemble, and several chamber ensembles.  He also serves as the K-12 Music Adviser for the district and chairs the vision and dental services for all teachers, staff and administrators.

While he enjoys playing all of the band instruments, Mr. Whitman's primary instrument is the trumpet.  He is a huge fan of the Beatles as well!  Outside of school and music Mr. Whitman enjoys spending time with his family and can often be found caddying for his son at a golf tournament, cheering on his daughter at a dance competition, or chauffeuring his children to games, performances, and other school events.  When not on the road or in the stands, Mr. Whitman enjoys watching the Yankees, hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with his wife and best friend, Mrs. Whitman (also a band teacher!)
