BIS HCMC

EYFS to Key Stage 2 Curriculum Map

Welcome

Welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year overview of the bespoke Age-Related Expectations (ARE) Curriculum for the British International School, Ho Chi Minh City. We are a school with a long and proud history of academic excellence, and this curriculum map aims to outline how the BIS HCMC curriculum fits together and offers any reader the opportunity to understand explicitly the length and breadth of our provision for all subjects from Year 1 to Year 6 (Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2).

The goals of our curriculum map can be outlined as:

  • Highlighting the curriculum intent and structure and how elements across year groups align

  • Identifying the relationships between the learning outcomes, the elements and parts of the curriculum and the age-related expectations

  • Identifying assessment and learning outcome alignment across all year groups

  • Identifying opportunities for alignment within and across year groups

  • Identifying any gaps, content duplication and redundancies within the curriculum at BIS HCMC

How to use

This site is very straight forward, and can be accessed through the navigation tabs at the top of this page, or the quick links below to move between each page, depending on what it is you are looking for. The 'Long Term Planning' page offers the opportunity to see the progression in each of our year groups; where things are taught and when.
