Mental Health at Bishopshalt 2023

Welcome!

At Bishopshalt School, we understand how difficult the past few years have been. Both students and staff members alike have struggled immensely during these tough times. As a community, we want to illustrate just how much we value the mental well-being of all our students and staff members equally.

The importance of mental health is often misunderstood. So, we aim to have this Google site used as a resource for all members of the Bishopshalt community to interact with and gain knowledge on how to protect and look after their mental well-being and the well-being of others. Here, you will find information regarding different topics that affect our mental health ranging from self-care tips to mental health problems and different types of abuse.

We hope this site can answer any questions or worries that you may be scared of asking.

If you have any questions regardless of how trivial they may seem or would like to get involved with the Mental Health team, please contact any of the ambassadors.

Mental Health Week 15th - 21st May 2023

We are very fortunate to have Mr Wood excellently introduce Mental Health Awareness Week at Bishopshalt. If you watch the assembly, you will quickly learn why our mental health is so important, the consequences of having poor mental and the simple things you can do to help others who need it.

Here is the link to the PowerPoint if you would like to go through it yourself: Mental health week assembly

This week, we want to emphasise the importance of being kind to your peers - regardless of whether or not they're your friend - because you never know what struggles your classmates may be dealing with.

Please check in with yourself and your friends regularly to make sure you're coping okay and never be afraid to seek help!

The staff at Bishopshalt are all here for you.
