Open Mic Nights

What are McDevitt's Open Mic Nights?

Poetry Club hosts 3-4 Open Mic Night's a year. These Open Mic Nights are a fun, open space where McDevitt Students can share their talents by performing on stage through singing, playing instruments, and reading poetry.

Each Open Mic Night covers a specific theme. The four themes are a Halloween Costume Contest, A Valentine's Night with a Cheesy Love Poem Contest, a night dedicated to the one and only William Shakespeare where poetry is read and literature is celebrated, and finally, Senior Night where the school's seniors have a chance to share their talents for the last time.

Admission to Open Mic Nights is $1 dollar per person. This dollar goes to help fund the publication of The Fallout Shelter and help cover the costs of refreshments at the Open Mic Nights. These events are fun nights for everyone involved, so come with your best friends for a memorable night.
