Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global call to action that provides a blueprint for developing a better and sustainable future for all. There are 17 interlinking goals selected to address global challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and environmental factors.

STEAMFest participants that select to participate in the exhibition are NOT required use SDGs but are highly encouraged. However, students entering into the STEAMFest Competition are required to select 1 of the 17 SDGs as a problem of practice to either provide a potential solution or bring awareness to others.
