Common Questions and Concerns:

  • Google Account/Google Classroom/Gmail Login
    To log into Gmail or your Google Account:
    1. Go to accounts.google.com.
    2. Log in with your student credentials:
    Username: ID#@student.bisdtx.org (ex. 123456@student.bisdtx.org)
    Password: (if you do not know your password, ask your teacher or refer to Family Access)
    3. From there you can navigate to Gmail, Google Classroom, or any other Google app.

  • Istation
    If you are working on your personal device and are having issues with Istation, make sure that the application is downloaded to your device. Click here for Istation download information.

  • BrainPOP
    If you are trying to access BrainPOP and it's asking you for login information, use these credentials:
    Username: Bastrop
    Password: Bastrop2020 (case sensitive)
    If it's asking you for a class code, your teacher will have that information - reach out to them and ask for the join code!

  • Device or Internet Access
    To inquire about device or internet access options for BISD educational use, please contact 512-772-7100.

    Also, providers are offering the following services that may be helpful:

  • Spectrum 844-488-8395. Providing free broadband and WiFi for 60 days plus free installation for non-Spectrum households with a K-12 or college student at home. Also opening WiFi hotspots for public use.

  • Xfinity hotspots are available free for anyone who needs them. A list of public hotspots is available at xfinity.com/wifi

  • AT&T is waiving home internet data caps during the closure.

  • TMobile is removing data caps for cellular customers during the closure.

Families wanting to set up their own internet access must contact providers directly.
