Audience: 6-8 Science and Social Studies Teachers
Description: Become proficient in SchoolCity assessment data to maximize teacher effectiveness by gaining proficiency in utilizing reports for data comprehension. And learn how to apply various Online Markups, such as Pop-Ups, Rollovers, and Custom Speech, to items within the SchoolCity Item Bank. Participants will learn the purpose of these tools, how they differ, and gain hands-on experience creating and using them on assessments.

In this session, 6–8 Social Studies teachers will explore practical strategies to boost student engagement, strengthen writing in the Social Studies classroom, and deepen analysis of primary sources. Teachers will collaborate to practice these strategies, discuss ways to connect them to upcoming content, and plan intentionally as grade-level teams to support student success.

It’s almost game time! In this session, 8th grade Social Studies teachers will team up to design engaging, high-impact review plans that get students ready to shine on STAAR. Together, we’ll explore creative strategies, share best practices, and build review activities that boost confidence and reinforce critical skills. Teachers will also have dedicated team planning time to turn ideas into ready-to-use review plans that energize classrooms and set students up for success.
