Autism Teaching Assistants will learn how to write social stories for students with Autism. This training will be an overview of prompting as a teaching strategy, including verbal, gestural, and physical prompts. Paras will learn how prompts can be used to support students in acquiring or engaging in targeted skills and behaviors. The session will include guided practice to help them implement prompts effectively and promote independence.

This session is designed to support the ECSE and Life Skills teachers and staff in the implementation of unique curriculum materials, instructional routines, and program expectations. These trainings will address academic instruction, classroom management and other programmatic components unique to programs supporting student with highly impactful disabilities.
