This session will be provided by our Local Mental Health Authority, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services. As required by §153.1015, School district employees who regularly interact with students are employees working on a school campus, including, but not limited to, teachers, coaches, librarians, instructional coaches, counselors, nurses, administration, administrative support personnel, student support personnel, paraprofessionals, substitutes, custodians, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and district special programs liaisons. This session is available to ALL staff. All staff who interact with students must be trained by 2028-2029 school year. Staff must take this training only once to meet statutory requirements.
If an employee has previously completed the YMHFA course provided by a local mental health authority, they are not required to retake it. Staff are required to upload the certificate upon completion of the course. If earned outside of Bastrop ISD, please choose the LINK TO UPLOAD CERTIFICATE below.

Description: In this session, elementary librarians will explore practical strategies for aligning library instruction with the Amplify Reading curriculum to create more meaningful and relevant learning experiences for students. Participants will learn how to identify natural connections within Amplify units and enhance them through intentional library lessons. Together, we will explore engaging read-alouds, extension activities, and collaborative approaches that reinforce classroom instruction while strengthening the library’s role as an essential instructional partner. Attendees will leave with ready-to-use ideas and tools to support curriculum connections and deepen student learning.

Description: Help your students become smarter researchers! In this session, teachers of all subjects will learn how to guide students in using TexQuest academic databases, Google Scholar, and other tools to find credible sources and conduct meaningful research. Discover strategies to move beyond basic internet searches and build students’ confidence in evaluating and citing reliable information.

Description: Maximize your professional growth by earning credit for your conference attendance. This course listing allows librarians to submit documentation for up to 3 hours of professional development toward their summer PD requirement. To be eligible for credit, the conference must be pre-approved by the Director of Digital Learning & Library Services, and all hours must be earned outside of standard contract days.
