This session will be provided by our Local Mental Health Authority, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services. As required by §153.1015, School district employees who regularly interact with students are employees working on a school campus, including, but not limited to, teachers, coaches, librarians, instructional coaches, counselors, nurses, administration, administrative support personnel, student support personnel, paraprofessionals, substitutes, custodians, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and district special programs liaisons. This session is available to ALL staff. All staff who interact with students must be trained by 2028-2029 school year. Staff must take this training only once to meet statutory requirements.
If an employee has previously completed the YMHFA course provided by a local mental health authority, they are not required to retake it. Staff are required to upload the certificate upon completion of the course. If earned outside of Bastrop ISD, please choose the LINK TO UPLOAD CERTIFICATE below.

During this session, participants will explore strategies to strengthen academic reading and improve word-problem comprehension. Through discussion and active engagement, they will experience the Three Reads, Talk–Read–Talk–Write, and Read–Represent–Explain strategies, with connections to the Eureka Math curriculum.

This session is designed to shift the focus from what students are learning (content standards) to how they are thinking (process standards) in K-5 math. Participants will identify and understand the seven process standards, explore several routines for reasoning, and discuss how Eureka Math intentionally integrates them during daily instruction.

In this session, participants will explore how to thoughtfully customize scripted lessons while maintaining alignment to standards, learning objectives, and the integrity of the curriculum. Teachers will identify where flexibility exists, analyze the “why” behind lesson components, and practice adapting materials to better meet the needs of multilingual learners and diverse classrooms. By the end of the session, teachers will leave with practical strategies and a clear decision-making framework for making purposeful, student-centered adjustments without compromising rigor or coherence.

Participants will rotate through dynamic stations featuring tools like Ozobot Ari, Cubelets, Rigamajig, and additional robotics, engineering, and design resources to experience learning as their students would.
This session focuses on transforming instruction from passive to active—empowering teachers to facilitate student-driven exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration. Educators will leave with ready-to-use strategies, TEKS-aligned ideas, and practical ways to increase student discourse while reducing teacher workload. Through modeling and guided design time, teachers will create their own lesson components—complete with stations, opportunities for collaboration, and strategies that increase student voice.

This course is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, skills, and practices necessary to maintain a safe and secure laboratory environment for students and instructors alike.
This session is required for all staff who have not completed in a previous year.
During this self-paced session, you will delve into the newly revised Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for science in grades K-12. This comprehensive session is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the updated standards and inspire a lifelong passion for science in students.
