All Staff: Youth Mental Health First Aid
Various Dates; 8:30am - 4:30pm, Note: Time is from 8:30-4:30 with an hour lunch
This session will be provided by our Local Mental Health Authority, Bluebonnet Trails Community Services. As required by §153.1015, School district employees who regularly interact with students are employees working on a school campus, including, but not limited to, teachers, coaches, librarians, instructional coaches, counselors, nurses, administration, administrative support personnel, student support personnel, paraprofessionals, substitutes, custodians, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, crossing guards, and district special programs liaisons. This session is available to ALL staff. All staff who interact with students must be trained by 2028-2029 school year. Staff must take this training only once to meet statutory requirements.
If an employee has previously completed the YMHFA course provided by a local mental health authority, they are not required to retake it. Staff are required to upload the certificate upon completion of the course. If earned outside of Bastrop ISD, please choose the LINK TO UPLOAD CERTIFICATE below.

To complete the GT Foundational 30 hour training, Nature and Needs along with Identification and Assessment must be completed. Instructors teaching an OnRamps course for the first time prepare for effective course implementation by learning essential course content and pedagogical skills, familiarizing themselves with course-specific technology and setting year-one expectations for themselves and students. They work with peer Instructors across the state, partner with Mentor Instructors, and reflect on challenges of practice with OnRamps Implementation Coaches. You will attend the conference and then use this course to submit your certificate to this Kickup for district credit and records keeping.

University faculty and OnRamps course staff facilitate learning experiences that promote collaboration between Returning Instructors across districts and fine-tune their pedagogy and skills in various learning modalities.
