This information is mostly for new teachers to our campus, but can also serve as a reminder to returning staff.
Your employee number is your copy username.
There is no pin number when logging in to the copier.
The copiers not only make black and white copies, but they can scan documents as well – in color too! The file is sent to your email address if you select the option to send to yourself.
The copiers also staple and punch holes.
You can print to the copiers from your laptop. It will hold them in memory for a few hours if you can’t get to the workroom right away. Bring your laptop to the librarian to install this option.
If the copier jams, please follow the instructions on the screen to remove the jammed paper.
If the copier continues to jam, please inform the librarian, making a note of what kind of job you were running – multiple pages, staples, hole punch, etc. It sometimes makes a difference on how fast the machine can be repaired.
If the copier runs out of paper, load some in drawers 1 and 2. Tray 3 is for 8.5x14 paper and tray for is for 11x17 paper. If you need some, just ask.
Color paper and cardstock is best run from the multi-purpose tray on the side of the machine.
If the copier tells you to change the toner or staples, do it.
Empty toner cartridges go in the trash.
If you notice that the toner or staple supply is low – one box left, please let the librarian know so more can be ordered. It takes up to 5 business days to get more shipped. It’s not fun when we run out of toner.
If you are leaving copies for someone else, please use the file cabinets in the workroom.
Please remember that this is teacher workroom. Students should not be sent to use the equipment in your place.
