We recommend our students to rent an instrument from a reputable store for the first few years of playing.
If you are seeking to purchase an instrument, please have a conversation with the director and/or private lesson teacher before making an instrument purchase. We want to be involved in the process to make sure you are receiving a quality instrument that is worth the money you are spending on it.

String instruments come in different sizes to best fit your student's size. We recommend renting first to allow for your student to transition across instrument sizes easily. The instrument size impacts a student's learning and musical experience. Students who play on instruments that are way too big for them are hindered from progressing as much on the instrument since the instrument is simply not the right size for them. Please do not consider purchasing a full sized instrument until your child is physically ready.
