Major Grades (60%)

Minor Grades (40%)

♪ Playing Quizzes (In Class or Recording Submission)

♪ Theory Worksheets

♪ Weekly Participation Grade

• Students will be given a weekly rehearsal participation grade. All students who actively participate in rehearsals and bring all of their materials receive a 100 for this grade. Some examples of participation grade deductions are: 

  • • No instrument and or/music–30 points per day

• Long nails–10 points per day

• Disruptive behavior or talking during rehearsal-10 points per day

Reassessments 

Students may redo playing quizzes for a higher grade. Reassessments need to happen within ten school days. Students may reassess twice, but before they come in, they must practice and be prepared to demonstrate mastery of the concept or passage being assessed. Students can either redo their playing assessment via recording submission through Schoology or schedule a time with Mr.Alejandro to come in during their advisory class.
