Nest Fest is a choose-your-own-learning experience! Sessions repeat throughout the day, giving you the flexibility to build a schedule that matches your interests and goals.

Perfect for educators who are new to Birdville, new to the topic, or looking for a refresher on the essentials.

🟣 Bonus Track

Designed for educators who are already familiar with the basics and want to explore additional strategies, time-saving workflows, and deeper classroom applications.

Choose the sessions that are most valuable to you—there's no required learning path. Featured playlists and suggested schedules will be shared before the event to help you plan your day, but you're always welcome to mix and match sessions to create your own Learning Mixtape.

• Check-in begins at 7:30 AM.

• Opening Session begins promptly at 8:00 AM.

• Bring your fully charged Birdville-issued laptop and charger.

• Bring a refillable water bottle/cup (water stations will be available).

• Dress in layers—room temperatures may vary throughout the day.

• Lunch is on your own from 11:45 AM–12:45 PM. Feel free to bring your lunch and use the PLC kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, and seating available) or visit a nearby restaurant. 

• Need technology help? Stop by Backstage (Technology Support) when you arrive. Whether you need help with your laptop, accessing district software, signing in to your accounts, or getting connected, we'll be there to help!

Nest Fest is designed for teachers who are new to Birdville ISD or getting started with our digital learning tools.

This experience is built to support your first years in the district by helping you learn the systems, tools, and expectations used in Birdville classrooms. You’ll leave with a clear starting point and a better understanding of how digital tools and curriculum work together to support student learning.

Nest Fest is a one-day, hands-on experience where you’ll build confidence with the tools and strategies used across the district.

Sessions are grounded in district curriculum and also focus on the digital tools that support instruction, including platforms for lesson delivery, interactive displays, and classroom management. You’ll have time to explore, practice, and apply what you learn so it directly translates to your classroom.

Choose sessions that match your needs and experience level. Each session is interactive and focused on practical classroom use.

• Designing interactive student-centered activities aligned to the curriculum

• Building routines in GoGuardian for digital classroom management

• Integrating AI in Birdville classrooms

• Using Canvas to organize and deliver instruction

• Applying strategies for assessment and feedback within your content

You’ll work with both curriculum-aligned examples and the digital tools used across the district, so you leave with ideas you can use right away.

You’ll learn, practice, and apply ideas in real time so you leave ready to use them in your classroom.
