Senior Planning Board Applicant Letter and Contract
Birdville High School Class of 2026
Dear Senior Planning Board Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the 2025-2026 Senior Planning Board. You must read the following information carefully and become familiar with eligibility requirements and responsibilities of a Birdville High School Senior Planning Board (SPB) member. Once you’ve finished reading this applicant letter, please complete the google form application and contract on the back of this letter.
Being a Senior Planning Board member is time consuming. You must be willing to devote your time and effort throughout the summer, fall, and spring of your senior year.
Birdville Senior Planning Board receives many valuable and rewarding experiences that are remembered long after graduation from high school. Serving as a Senior Planning Board member instills a sense of pride, accomplishment, and allows you to make a difference in your senior year. SPB is entirely responsible for the planning and fundraising of all of the senior class activities.
The following are events SPB could be responsible for executing: Senior Sunrise, Homecoming Court Reception and After Party, Prom, Senior Sunset, Senior Picnic and various volunteer opportunities.
The following are some of the fundraisers SPB will be responsible for executing:
Senior Class T-shirt sales, World’s Finest Chocolate Bars, Cookie Dough, and Restaurant Nights
Meetings will be held biweekly during our busy seasons and will take place at a time agreed upon by members, which can include Hawk Time or before/after school. Becoming a Senior Planning Board member should be your sincere desire and not something to be taken lightly. You and your parents need to seriously consider the responsibilities and time commitment.
**If you are going to miss a meeting or event then you will need to fill out and have a parent sign an Excuse Form stating why you will be absent. This form must be filled out and turned in 48 hours in advance.
Missing more than two meetings is grounds for dismissal.**
This application is due Wednesday, September 10. We will also have our first meeting during Hawk Time on Monday, May 19th.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Fletcher. Good Luck!
Sincerely,
The 2026 Senior Class Officers
